Hints and Tips

Auto Repair Basics Part 1
by PremierAutomobile on

It is important  to know how to choose a auto repair shop and a good technician. The best advise I can give is to ASK QUESTIONS.

 When Choosing a Repair Shop

  • Ask for recommendations from friends and coworkers
  • Check online google/facebook are good place to look, compare reviews.
  • Look to see if they have currant licences displayed
  • Look for shops that have received certificates like Automotive Service Excellence
  • Is the staff friendly
  • Ask about warranty

 When Choosing a Technician

  • Look to make sure they are certified
  • Speak with the technician, ask question. Do you feel comfortable. Is he interested in speaking with you
  • Ask if they have experience working on your type of vehicle

When trying a repair shop for the first time make the appointment for something minor like an oil change

Tracking True; Wheel Alignment
by Angie on

Wheel Alignment is often over looked until there is a serious problem. A wheel can be knocked out by hitting a curb, pot hole or an accident. Worn suspension or steering components can also lead to alignment problems.

It is recommended that you have your vehicle aligned once a your, usually in the spring.

Signs of an alignment problems are:

  • Your car is pull to one side
  • Steering wheel is not centered when driving straight
  • Your tires are wearing rapidly or feather edged.
